    Winter tires

If I purchase winter tires for my V, will I need to keep my summer tires for when the weather warms up or can I drive the winter tires year round?

You can drive year round with those winter tires no problem - in Antartica...winter tires for winter, summer tires for summer. Com'n now...

You'll be looking for your summer shoes the first spirited on ramp you take in the winter configuration.

    Re: Winter tires

When the weather warms up, your winter tires are going to feel like walking over a asphalt repair in hard shoes on a 95 deg day.

Its going to feel like a really good time, with too much Astroglide.

    Re: Winter tires

Summer tires get super hard and lose traction when they get cold. Winter tires stay soft in the cold but get really soft in the warm. Winter tires will wear in short order driving in warm weather. Also, the traction on a winter tire in the summer will be significantly less than your summer tires.

    Re: Winter tires

Here in Canada we can buy a Hankook winter tire that the company claims can be also used in the summer.

The biggest size available is 225/50R17.
The tire does qualify as a suitable winter tire in Quebec under provincial laws, which can be a testament to the tire’s winter prowess.
