Hi, I wanted to install the ambient foot well lights in my 2012 V Coupe and there are no connectors. Is that because of the factory ambient lights? What is the best way to do it? Thank you in advance.

    Re: Ambient Foot Well Lights

I did it in the my 2010 Sedan. I bought 2008 regular CTS front and rear footwell lighting kits from the dealer. I had to make my own ground connection on a stud near where your left foot is under the carpet and between the door and floor board. The postive wire I had to splice in is on the left of the instrument cluster between the door and dash.

Search the forum back to summer of 2010 and you will see a bunch of posts of a few of us doing it.

I installed them as well. There is a place in the kick panel to physically instal the LED's, but it is Not plug-n-play. If you want to be able to dim them, you need to splice into that circuit. As Malibu said, there is (relatively) easy access on the left side of the dash, for the dash piping lights. It's not hard, but requires some mechanical & electrical knowledge, as well as dash disassembly & wire splicing.

Good Luck, it's a nice mod...
