    Supercharger bit the dust

A few days ago I started to hear a loud whining noise coming from under the hood. Good thing I"m always checking out the threads on here. So today I take it to my dealer and get her checked out. Low and behold the supercharger is shot. 2013 6mt Coupe with 14,000 miles. The supercharger is being shipped over night, and I'm told I should have my baby back by Wednesday. I was given a XTS as a loaner, nice car, but nothing beats the V. Will update....

Did the blower go bad or did it roast a pulley?

Not really sure yet, the whining was coming from the pulley area. This was at start up and idling at a light. Once I got it to the dealer at idle it sounded like marbles were rolling around. I believe the blower went bad, a buddy of mine has a 2011 and his went bad about two weeks prior. I hope to hear more today, when the part comes in

    ----------

Thanks Laura, yes I do love my V.........there is nothing like it.

No tune yet, sort of glad I hadn't started any mods yet, they probably would not have covered under warranty

You are welcome, kameau. I was able to test drive a CTS-V, and it was such an amazing ride! I read your other post about your part being replaced currently. Please let me know how everything goes.

Supercharger replaced, V is as good as new....sounds even better than before. Correction, the loaner was a ATS......nice little car, but could not own one after owning a V!
