    CTS V to XTS Vsport

I currently have a 2010 CTS V sedan with Recaros that I'm very happy with, the power you know. What I'm thinking of doing is trading in the V and moving into a XTX Vsport. Just wondering if anyone here has thought of or has made the same move? Just looking for some feedback (go easy on me guys). Not sure if you will be able to talk me back from the edge, but maybe. Haven't totally made up my mind yet, but I did test drive one and came away from it very impressed. It did have some get -up and it was one nice riding Cadillac.

From a pure performance standpoint, you're nuts.

Why not wait for a CTS-VSport?

At least take a drive (and a back seat ride) in a new CTS for comparison to get a feel for whether or not it's worth waiting for the CTS Vsport to hit the showroom. The CTS Vsport might better fit your ideal blend of sportiness and luxury than the XTS Vsport.

Best of both worlds for me now. Have the V coupe and purchased the XTS-VSport last month. Winter tires (Blizzaks) on the VSport and I'm good to go over the mountains to the cabin this winter.

With the new CTS so much bigger (but lighter), I'm wondering where the XTS fits in. I'm wondering if they will even make a CTS V-Sport too. It's not like a few years ago when you had the CTS and DTS, and neither was close in size.

The newer CTS is longer but not much bigger inside. The XTS has a much larger interior by comparison.

I thought that they made the back seat room bigger to address the complaints about it. I want to sit in one when they come out. I'm not sold on the looks since it looks Bentley-ish too.

The rear seat is still smallish, and reviewers are still complaining about it. The XTS is a large car by comparison and has a commodious rear seat.

That's an idea. I'll run this by the admiral, but I'm pretty sure she'll give me "the look"

Umm...you haven't seen the C&D test drive of the CTS V-Sport?

The new CTS does, indeed, have more back seat room...

Re: CTS V to XTS Vsport

my wife was coming out of an STS-V, and wanted a new (larger) XTS Vsport as well. A thorough test drive solved that problem for me! The XTS Vsport did not handle very well (in our opinion). The wife is now driving a 2014 CTS-V (like mine), and we are anxiously awaiting the next generation CTS-V.....

Is this another "joke" post.....like the trade-in for the diamondback benz?

Just figure out if you lean more towards performance or comfort, this should make the decision for you... Based upon your current input.
