The forum admins fubar the links for competitor Cadi forums. Understandable for business reasons.

However: we now have production numbers finally! Woot!

1386 total V wagons 2011-13, or 7% of total production, for those too lazy to go over there.
7030 Coupes 2010-2013, or 38% of total production
10010 Sedans 2009-2013, or 54% of total production

No breakdown of MT vs AT etc.

Just to be clear, these are V specific numbers, not all CTS's?

Thanks again Bob. The numbers just seem high to me. I live in the most populated city in VA and have seen 1 Vagon (at the dealership), 2 V coupes, and maybe 4 or 5 V sedans ever. People must be hiding them away I guess.

Yeah. Makes me think it's time to hide mine away and stop driving it.

Hopefully GM will ultimately release at least MT vs AT numbers.

Asking for the number of each color would be too much to ask, but we can hope, can't we?

Thanks random GM dude who released this information!

seems about right, given how many are for sale. seems like there are an proportional amount of V's in texas. There's like 5 wagons that regularly show up at c&c.

Heck at work we have all three models, 2 sedans, 1 coupe, 1 wagon.

Here's a snip of the full breakdown posted there, including year by year breakdown for all V models/body styles. The claim is that the minutiae in which we are all interested in is not available at this time and that the most specific data is collected on Corvettes and nothing else. Sounds like BS to me, the F-body guys seem to have success in pulling that data from GM. Anyway here you go:

    2013 CTS-V production was 3068. Ferrari production for 2013 was 7318. http://www.cnbc.com/id/100720177

Hold on: GM made only 1 V coupe for 2010?

Some discussion on another forum but could be one off corporate car for car shows and whatnot that wasn't destroyed but sold.

I'd like to know details, such as color breakdown, trans percents, options, and even if they were 'sold' orders (custom orders) or ordered for stock. I'd be wiling to bet that V wagon has a higher percentage of manual trans than sedan or coupe. Counter-intuitive maybe, but it is such a unicorn that I'd guess more were ordered with a manual trans.

I doubt that more than 50% of V wagons are manuals, but they might have a higher than "normal" take rate of manuals, maybe 25%

Thanks for posting the numbers. From what I can see, these cars have just what you want for major collectability and increase in value over time. They:
    1. Are classically styled
    2. Great performers at 545hp
    3. very limited production.

In 20 years, there will be less than 20% roadworthy and of those, very few unmolested.
That means less than 3000 cars available making them very collectable.

I can definitely see hanging on to my coupe for 20+ years and just add to my collection.
