    Perhaps the dealer could let you see if the car fits in your garage until the invoice comes in.

    That's a good idea, they could keep the key since the car would still not formally be sold. Worth asking them if they will do this.

    I cant believe a dealer would let someone take a car home and use it without an invoice on their plate, man if something happened to that car I cant imagine the shit show.

    do you at least have your own insurance?

    Yeah, I had to sign a liability waiver and I immediately put it on my own insurance. 12 days and still no invoice. I'm really enjoying the car but am anxious to put on the Airaid CAI and Corsa Sport exhaust I have sitting in boxes (won't do it until it's titled in my name). On the upside I love the car! Having had a 2010 CTS wagon 3.6 the improvement in power and handling is enormous.

    Too bad GM corporate bureaucracy is spoiling the experience. How long can it take to print/fax/email an invoice?

    When I'm car shopping the dealer is always begging me take the car home and drive it for the weekend.

    My invoice was finally in the system late this afternoon and I took delivery today....think they are just catching up from implementation of the new employee/supplier discount pricing and all vehicle invoices needing to be redone
