I use it lightly. If you use it a lot, it will leave a residue on surfaces.

I only use it on carpets. I haven't tried it on the leather, and wouldn't put it on suede or the alcantara

Used on old carpet in my 78 Elcamino(sparingly) worked great. No smell nil. Used on inside liner conv. Top after thurough cleaning , worked great. Must stress cleaning first. Would not use on hard surface.

That stuff doesn't work. I've tried it.

What does help - shampoo the carpets and mats. Carpet deorderizer poweder when doing a quick vac. If you want to get really into it, you can carefuly wipe the headliner as well.

I also spray my carpets with my favorite AXE body spray which smells way better and works better than any car product.

    Re: Febreeze?

I used to trust the "let it air out" method....until our 6 year old projectile vomited all over my then-new Suburban. No more new car smell......

It was a combination of Febreze, ye olde Pine Tree air freshener, and bags of potpourri (yeah, i surrender my man-card for even knowing what "potpourri" is...) that finally had the car smelling like anything_other_than_puke.

Not in love with the Febreze smell but after weeks of puke smell it was a nice change of pace........

Fortunately I have not had a similar incident in the CTSV......
