What wheels and tires would you recommend for some drag radials

    All,

I enjoy drag racing my 11 V coupe 500 RWHP with full exhaust. I have run a best in the 1/8 at 8.01 at 93 MPH on somewhat bald street tires. Any recommendations for the size that will fit without rubbing, not looking for anything beautiful just functional. Will an 18 inch wheel fit over the brakes? There are many more DR options for 18 vs the 19 inchers I have on there now. Thanks
    Lamar

I'm running 305/19 MT's.(on stock rims) After a decent burnout they dead hook at the track. So far my best 60ft is 1.6s, shooting for the 1.5s

You'll be quicker with 18's (305/18/40) and they clear brakes) & Mickey's are better for the track. I have a 6MT (605rwhp) with 305/19's as well & they hook gr8. If I was serious about tracking it I would have got the 18's.

Go to ctsv_owners to the "wheels" subforum (remove the underscore), the forum is halfway down the page. In that subforum, Norcal has a stickie thread on drag wheels.
