Martin. v1000. What can you tell me about these?

I have a 2012 coupe and the dealer I bought from called me today and said he has one of these. I never heard of them. Only. hennessey. The car is a 2011 v1000. What are they worth and are they any good?

I looked up the web site and it says he made the cars for Cadillac.

    Thanks

Not sure about reliability or anything else but if it's authentic and in good condition you can bet it's a rocket.

Dealer Plus high performance shop=== big bucks.
Some info about it on the web search.
You're going to pay a lot for a serialized car.
You're better off finding a well known high performance shop
with a good rep & have them build what you want.
More than likely comes with a canned tune.
CTS-V with a canned tune stands for "Canned Tunes Suck"
I don't care who made it.

Guys, he's not talking about a Hennessey built V. He's talking about a Martin.

Personally, I think Martin is cheesey. And I don't know of anyone with firsthand experience...

Considering it apparently has 1000 hp to the crank....probably more than what you want to pay for a 2wd cts v coupe.

I'm guessing in the 150k range.

That wright up should be more detailed. I bet its not cheap thats for sure. It would also be interesting to see what forced induction they are using. a 1.9L blower cant flow enough for 1000 hp, so it would have to have a whipple, or turbos or something. unless its cheap id pass. Buy a used one and build it how you want.

I dunno Jim, can't see how a guy who produces a 1000 horsepower V could be cheeseball.

Re: Martin. v1000. What can you tell me about these?

    Thanks Guys

This car is a 2011 6sp coupe. I'm going to look at it tonight. I'm just curious what these cars sold for new.

I thought if Cadillac sold these cars new this guy had to have built a quality car. I had never heard of him either.

I have a 2012 now with some mods done by the dealer that I could mod some more. So far it's been a great car. Mine has bigger inter cooler, exhaust, lower pulley kit, wheels and a tune

Cadillac is not selling the Martin car... the Dealer is selling it

and i bet it's not *new* ... it's possible that it could be new and never sold before but the warranty issues that would bring up are mindboggling

If it comes with a warranty, or has one available, you can bet that they are not really going to give you 1K crank HP / TQ to play with.

Heavily modded car from a dealer is bad news.

Buy as stock as possible unless you know the previous owner and you know first hand what mods previous owner did and what all went wrong.

1000 hp can become 0 hp in one WOT run.

Most dealers will tell you anything to make the sale.
