    Is it a big deal to get a 2012 or newer car?

    I have heard that the 12 model had a better automatic tranny...Is it that much of a better trans. or no big deal? Anything else much dif on the 12 and newer model? Talking about auto cars only. Thanks

    The only reason to get a newer car, is low mies and warranty.

    The shifting on the 2012's is supposedly more responsive. Not an upgrade. I believe backup camera standard. Maybe some different colors.

    Tranny is the same. The programming was modified for better response.

    Not to hijack but can a 2011 sedan trans be programmed to be as responsive as a 2012? i ask because i just bought my 2011a little over a week ago

    I'm not sure how retroactive it is but I know my '09 cannot. Sucks.

    I owned a 2010 for a few months and then got a 2012. the 2012 trans is much smoother and faster. I made a thread a while back that compares different model years check that out.
