Ok, so I was driving my truck, doing truck stuff that my Caddy couldn't do, and I saw a CTS coupe (that was not a V) sporting a V emblem on the trunk lid. The engine displacement emblem was obviously removed and replaced with the V.
The question I have is, should I be offended or,
is imitation the sincerest form of flattery?
Secretly I wished I was in my V to give the "Really?" look......
I've never completely understood the butt hurt over badding on a car. I mean, I take a mental note, and roll my eyes, but I don't feel the need to say something, or have it ruin my day. I guess if it makes the person feel good about their car....it makes me feel better I waited for the real thing.
The irony is, on a car person would know what the V badge means, and that same car person would know a fake one from a real one without much trouble. So the $100 or so bucks spent on V badges, or 1000's spent on body panels is lost on anyone who gives 2 shits!
I say it's gonna happen and be done with it. You can't control what other people do regarding things like this. people have been putting BMW, AMG, Type R stickers on their cars for ages.
I almost want to put the old Allison badges from my 2500 on my V......almost
