New CTS-V Wagon...who knows about European Tail lights

I am picking up my new Wagon this weekend. Thunder Gray, six speed, all options Red Calipers. Does anyone know how to get euro-spec two color tail lights, i.e., amber flashers/blinkers. I know they are made since this car is in Europe.

    Thanks

I assume you can't order that in the US or get the parts. Have to go to Europe? Any ideas?

there's actually four different part numbers for export lampsnot quite sure exactly why but there's more than just one optionlooks like LHD vs RHD gets different lampsthere's a T89 export stop lamp option that some export lamps other export lamps don't have that optioni don't see T84 at all

Chevy uses T84. I know the B body and Y Body guys were big on T84.
Caddy may use T89. Not sure.......

usually you can use those types of generalizations but not always
and as time goes on it becomes harder to keep it all straight

options can even change meaning from year to year (although that's very rare)

I know older cadillacs used to use T84
for instance a '93 Eldo had T84 for RHD export and T85 for LHD export

Re: New CTS-V Wagon...who knows about European Tail lights

It would only be for the amber blinkers separate from red tail lights. It's the law in Europe and legal in the US. Some good back and forth on this. I think a part suitable for the German market would be good. Of course another issue is that the wiring harness will be different, but I think that's an easy fix, but I think that could be fixed at the plugs, but perhaps not. Does anyone know where I could get these?

Re: New CTS-V Wagon...who knows about European Tail lights

i could sell them but they'd be non-returnable and possibly not have a warranty since they're not accessories and they don't fit your VIN
i've never had to submit a warranty for an export part before so i'm not sure how that would fly

also i'm not sure which of the export options you should get ... the parts catalog looks to have at least two or three export tail lamps
usually they will say (japan/europe/etc) but these ones don't and just use RPO codes

Thanks Guys. Rippy, what's your number. I could give you a call tomorrow to see about the tail lights.

    Amber blinkers are just safer.

jwbhole, anything ever come of this? I'm thinking of doing the same thing to my Vagon, and am also curious whether the euro-spec taillamps also have the rear fog lights in them.

Any pictures ? The European spec lights are usually far superior to the USA standards.
