This car was available for a single model year

The wagon itself is being discontinued after 2013

They didn't make many CTS Wagons, they made a fraction of those in the V version, and a very small number of those with the unique PCH (Black Diamond Edition) designator, and only in the 2011 model year

These are factors that drive prices on rare vehicles at auction

The performance attributes will make it desirable, the rarity will make it worth mothballing for a few years

So, yup, if it was an ordinary street variety CTS-V Wagon, the dealer advantage would make a difference

This is a car that no dealer has, or can get, and I am in the normal range for such cars at 50K
So why not put 'er up in storage?

If only that was a 6MT I would offer you that right now. Having obsessively watched autotrader for the last 2 months 50K might be a little high but not by much. 48.5K would sell quick enough.

OK, I will be asking $49 for the car if anyone is interested, PM me

    ----------

The MT was a compromise with the wife

...but with the paddles, you pretty much get the best of both worlds, without wearing out the clutches....

    ----------

Storage was never a realistic option for me, was just sayin..

Good luck with the sale. Two problems I see

1, That is a love or hate color.

    2. A lot dealers have left overs on the lot. Last week I looked at 2012 black diamond wheels recaros
    Manual brand new for $58k.

I just wish the higher miles ones where cheaper. To me $38-40k on a 70-80k mile car is crazy.

Thats mainly why I said 45K, maybe price it @46.9 if it does not sell after a while with what you've got it priced at. Like was said the black diamond is a love it or hate it color. I was not crazy about mine at first, but I've really grown to like it a lot, with the silver pinstripe it looks real good.

Is it true the new CTS_V will have a twin turbo six?

Nope just the regular CTS Sedan, no telling what the motor is going to be in the V.

I thought the black diamond is no longer important since you can get all those options on a 2012 and above?
If that's true then the unique value doesn't hold.

The original OP stated that the "code" was the uniqueness. Yes, you can order in 2012 and 13 but the PCH code for that package was unique. Whether that matters is something up for debate. I also had a 2011 Manual 6SPD Black Diamond Sedan, loved the color and the car. Still miss it to this day!

Just looked at the Cadillac web site

They haven't changed a bit in looks or equipment for the 3 model years

You can make one just like mine, with 20,000 fewer miles for $74,890.

    And then they are gone

I'll deduct $1 per mile for mine, and consider it money well spent

    (Actually I'll take $48,500)

deal done and it's sitting in my garage as I type with 4580 miles on the clock. It's like new for a fraction of new.

Re: What should I ask for my 2011 CTS-V, Sport Wagon, Black Diamond Edition

I really would take out of the ad "buying a new one for $74890.00 Everybody knows you can get a new one for a lot less than that especially if a person is able to get the GM Employee pricing, probably be able to get one for around 67K brand new. Also I think the "Black Diamond Edition" statement is kinda mis leading since like you said you can get the exact same car but only it's not called the "Black Diamond Edition" anymore. My car looks identical to yours and it's a 2013. I don't really think it's gonna make your car worth anymore in the future just because it's the black diamond edition. I think your going to be hard pressed to find anyone to pay 49K for your car with 20K miles on it, but try it, what the heck nothing to loose. I think if your serious about selling the car your gonna have to ask 46.5K to 47K for it.
