Need help running a 1/4 mile

What suspension mode should I run it in? With getting slicks I can't get any traction. Do I really have to ease into the gas or can I stab it?

touring mode is fine. Stabbing it depends on whether you have traction control on or off. I've heard the best runs come from having it on and putting the trans in sport mode. You could practice different launchs doing it this way with either full throttle or starting initially with anywheres from 1/2 to 3/4 throttle for the first second or so.

Is the car an automatic or manual? By the way phrase the "stab or ease the gas" comment I'll assume its an auto. If you aren't getting traction with a full slick you've got other problems, I'd think. I'm making a lot of presumptions about your drag racing history but more info would help get you straightened out.

What I thought he meant was the rear tires get slick on the line.

thanks guys, sorry for the confusion. It is an auto, and it slips from the line.

I'm getting very regular 1.5X 60' times, with a 1.52 last week. I roast the DRs in first gear for three-four seconds, shift into second for a couple seconds and then ease out of the burnout. When you're at the light, sport mode, "touring" suspension [the default mode], and right before the last amber, I'll raise the RPMs a couple hundred and then stab the pedal as fast as you can. That's the combo that works for me and it's very consistent.

Take litigators advise. I have seen him race his V and he comes out of the hole like a bat out of hell.
