Taking my V wagon to pocono.

I found a website (877stockcar.com) and they let you drive your own car on the track. It's 2 twenty minute sessions. In between a driving coach tells you where you can do better to increase your speed. I do not know if they have this at other tracks. I'm going August 21st. It's far off but I can't wait

Most road courses have many High Performance Driving Experiences weekends every year. 2 or 3 days on a road course beats the pants off an afternoon of turning left IMHO. One member of our MINI Cooper club knows somebody at Michigan International Speedway and every year we get to take our MINIs out for 8-10 laps.

I agree but living in Long Island, NY there aren't any road courses near me. Besides Pocono is a 2.5 mile track. I should be able to get up to a decent speed.

Lots of groups use Pocono in various formats for HDPE days. I've gone there in my former car (Audi S8 - 146mph on front straight) with NASA NE when they were formerly know as Performance Drivers Association - they are offering HDPE at Pocono, NJMP and Watkins Glen this Spring/summer - look here: http://www.nasane.com

Another good site is https://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/calendar - put in your zipcode and how far you are willing to go a you get a list and links to lots of events.
