Few questions about the V i cant seem to find in the owners manual

    1. How (if possible) do you set the side mirrors to tilt when in reverse? The book says some models have the option, but cant find the page which explains how.

    2. Interior lights. Is it possible to NOT have them turn on when you open the doors? Our buick has a button for that but cant seem to find if there is or isnt one in the caddy.

They don't. I loved them in my 300CSRT8.

Here's a tip if you are the primary driver. Set the #2 seat memory to your normal specs, except with the mirror tilted down. Did this in my last car, works well.

This is a CTS-V forum. I don't know of any models that have this option except 2007 and older (V1). mpouls1 is correct. GM got rid of this option when many people said it was useless. I, for one, tried the option on my 2004 CTS-V and cancelled it out. The side mirrors don't tilt anymore on any model CTS-V that I am familiar with. Good riddance. As far as the interior lights are concerned, I don't remember any CTS-V that had such a button (I have had or have now, four of them). The interior lights always turn on when the door is opened.

Looks like some very early '09 Vs did receive this feature...
    http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...erse-like.html

FWIW, my wife's '99 STS had this feature (programmable on passenger side) and it worked flawlessly right up until the time we sold it in August. The '07 SRX I picked up to replace the STS has it on both mirrors... also programmable. Don't really need it on the driver's side. IMHO. If the motor(s) wear out, I'll worry about it when it happens and in the meantime, just enjoy the feature as it was designed to work. I got spoiled with it and would love to have it on the V. When I want it tilted before parking in the V, I just press the button until it tilts to where I want it. When the car is started, it automatically returns to the preset position. Having it work on a 50% basis is better than not having it all!

    Best regards,

    Elie

2003 Lincoln had the tilt mirrors, loved it. Got the V, missed it. Wifey got an SRX that has it, now I find it annoying. Go figure...

    ^^^^
I wish I had it. It makes parking next to a curb so much easier.....to avoid curb rash. However, I use Va72mlibu's suggestion.

its a pain in the ass when when we take sonny boy to the sitter. When we put him in the car we like to kill the inside lights to not wake him up.

agree on the mirror tilting down. I'll have to try that preset option thing. My fiance won't be happy that I'm taking up both settings though.

This is a particular concern with me since I've seen what curbs can do to those satin wheels. I'm surprised they don't give you the option looking through that previous thread. It's really silly they got rid of it entirely... What bothers me more is that it got rather in depth a year ago, the rep forwarded it on then.... still nothing. At the very least they should let us get this activated at the dealers.

I have used the preset 2 option since Day 1 to tilt my mirrors down. I'm the only one who drives my V so it works great.

Maybe these "curb feelers" could be offered as an option...
