    Is $58k for a 2012 used V 6MT wagon fair?

I'd obviously try to talk the seller down a little, but what do you guys in the market think? It's close to me and if I can get a reasonable deal, I'm going to pull the trigger pending inspection. I'm already planning how to switch my KPE intake over.

It's a 6MT wagon, fully loaded, 14k miles, fully warranted, not CPO. It's yet another previous GM-owned car and yes, I'm aware of how these cars are potentially driven. Again, it's going to be a daily driver and has a warranty, so I won't worry too much.

I'm just finalizing a deal for a 2012 Auto, all options, for $53,100. Black Diamond, blck wheels, yellow calipers. 13,000 miles.

(Also included the two piece brembos and air raid).

Even with those snow tires, $53K is a very good deal.

Snow tires would have been (by necessity), my first purchase. I was more than happy to see them on there. I used them as leverage to get them down lower in price, however.

It's about time, MacBuster! i'm glad to read that you are getting one.

If I chicken out and decide to stick with an automatic, the silver automatic 2011 wagon that's only 10 miles from me is still available, and the price is now $51k. They've been coming down for the last few weeks. I've convinced myself, though, that I can do a 6MT as a daily.

$54k for a 2012 6MT wagon? We'll see....I'm sure they got it at auction for that.

I just wonder what I'll get in trade for my 2009 V sedan. *shudders* Luckily, I own it free and clear, so it's like having cash for a down payment.

I think as we see more 2013's hit lots the 2012's should start to drop price and the used 2011 and 2012's as well.
    That plus the winter.

Save the Manuals! Do your part!! How many 6MT @ss-haulin' wagons walk the planet? Or will in future years?

I did MT BMW's for 17 years and the worse spell I ever had were the three years between all of those and my '09 V2/6MT. A hot-rodded X5, fun as it was, still was an auto. I DD'ed an MT M5 in stop-and-go traffic in Atlanta for six of those years, and I still enjoyed it b/c I was rowing my own. DD in a MT ain't that big a deal, really. I know it's cliche in auto reviews, but I haven't worn my clutch leg out yet...

This made me think. If I do this, maybe I can roll a set of two-piecers into the price, or just add them to purchase price and have the dealer (it's a Cadi dealer) install them.

Then again, I will be trading my V sedan, so I will have to choose my battles carefully.

And LOL at saving the manuals. I only bought an automatic in the first place in case my wife had to drive my car in an emergency. She has never, ever been behind the wheel of my V, in 3 1/2 years of my ownership. Besides, in an emergency, all I have to do is to show her how to shift into second and the torque will take care of the rest, LOL.

I thought I might get to 1000 posts before I actually became a "real" member here.

I still ahve to wire them the money, and arrange shipping...but I'm pretty sure no turning back now!

The only way to stall the V is if you start out in anything but 1st gear- or if you just dump it. It's extremely easy to drive by anyone with enough hand-foot coordination that already walks and flails their arms about How you just 'throw on anything' in the morning.

The clutch is not that stiff, and the shifter is smooth. It's not as light as a civic obviously, but it's not insane.
