    My first ATS sighting

My family went to the park this morning and when I got back to the car, this is what I found. Fortuitous it is the same color as my V. In person, the ATS has more complex surfacing particularly from the belt line up but I still think it is a CTS that was left in the oven for a bit too long. I think this was a 2.5L I4 due to the lonely single exhaust.

Good pic, the second pic. I looked at a few of them at the dealer the other day. The wheels sure look small on the ATS for some reason and the roof line is higher. I think the CTS looks a little more sleek. The rear seat of the ATS is pretty small too.

    ----------

On the backside pic you have, the cars look a lot the same.

    Re: My first ATS sighting

The ATS drives very nicely and I was shocked that it seemed to have just as much room up front as my V. The back does lose 2 inches though. I'm impressed with the ATS but wouldn't consider it until they come out with a 450hp ats-v.

Well, for the "V," we need a much bigger engine (LS-7 tuned for torque) and bigger wheels and the best manual transmission available. And, of course, the best brakes available. Cadillac is on a role and can't screw this up.

ATS is not as nice looking as the V2 CTS.

    Re: My first ATS sighting

It was an enterprise car so it was the basic model but it had Cue and the Cue was OK the touch controls were clunky and the engine sounded like a diesel at low speeds. The sport mode was a joke the shifting was way too slow in any mode. the Cruise control was Half there meaning it had the option to turn it on but the buttons to set the speed were missing bad quality control or something completely different i did check other ATSs and they have the cruise control buttons but not the one i had it had the remote start but required the key to be put in the ignition after you got in the car. the handling was really bad.

there are going to be a lot of 2.5 ATS's for the 2013 MY, simply because the 3.6 costs an arm and a leg more, and the 2.0T isn't avaliable.

t had the remote start but required the key to be put in the ignition after you got in the car. the handling was really bad.
all keyed remote start options work this way. You can't drive the car without the key in the ignition telling the imobilizer that the operator has control of the vehicle.. Otherwise theft would be a giant problem .

ATS is not as nice looking as the V2 CTS.
    matter of opinion.

    Re: My first ATS sighting

I would not pay attention to the performance of the base ATS with the 2.5L engine. Wait for the 2.0T and 3.6 variants for performance feedback.

Just think about the CTS-V and any other non-V CTS. Ergo, the ATS-V should be quite different.

    Re: My first ATS sighting

It's great to get your feedback on the new ATS! We know it won't suit everybody, but hopefully it will provide an option for those who are searching for compact luxury.

    All the best,
