    Vibration at highway speeds

    2012 Wagon Auto
Purchased new. 2500 miles on now.
Changed stock tires to Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position (245/45-19 98W and 275/40-19 101W).
    Everything else is stock.
About 8-900 miles since the change.

At highway speeds (say 55-70) i'm getting a pretty significant vibration. I can feel it through the pedals, seat and steering wheel. I can see and feel the headrest of the (empty) passenger seat vibrating.

Seems to be there at all those speeds, at any revs, and at any throttle.

TPMS reports good, even tire pressure (have not checked manually yet).

Tried a few road surfaces and it is similar on them all.

No particular noise and nothing visual on the wheels/tires when stationary.

Any ideas? Anything I should check/do?

Either the wheels weren't properly balanced, or you need hub centric rings to get them centered on the lugs properly.

I'll bet you threw a wheel weight. Happened to me and show similar symptoms. Thought there was no way because it was isolated to certain speeds.......look the wheels over to see if you can see where some weights were glued maybe. Usually on our wheels they either 'glue' em to the inside or clamp them on the back side.

+1 on chucking a wheel weight. Have them re-balanced and if your tire place a road force balancer, might as well have them do that too.

    Thanks,

    Nope - all stock.

Tire installer is going to double check balance.

    Re: Vibration at highway speeds

Tire guy came out and said that 3 wheels were off balance and one of the road force readings was really high. Can't test drive right now but hopefully it's fixed.

    Re: Vibration at highway speeds

If you still have the vibration, like I did...then suspect front wheel bearings. Ended up replacing both front on mine over a span of several months trying to get rid of the vibration after tire swap out, balance etc.

Definitely better on the way home. Will see how it goes for the next few weeks. Thanks for the suggestions and tips.
