    Any thoughts or theories on why the numbers on our speedometer get smaller after 140mph?

    So they can cram it up to 200 MPH with the same sweep. The needle will climb at one rate up to the 140 mark then climb slower above that as speed increases. If you ever watch any videos of top speed runs, especially in C6 Vettes, you'll see what I mean.
