Mid Ohio Grand Prix (Cadillac Corral)

Okay here is the flyer for the Cadillac Corral at the Mid Ohio Grand Prix. From what we are being told this will be a very nice venue as Cadillac has secured some really prime real estate for the VIP area. Spaces will be VERY limited so make sure you act fast. For those of you that haven't experienced the Cadillac Corral, you will certainly want to attend this if you get a chance. These are memorable experiences that only few can get opportunities to have.

BUMP, only a few spots left! You want to make sure you catch this event as they have an awesome location for the V owners to watch the race from.

    Thank you,

Hummm that picture on the flyer gave me Deja Vu Dr.D Lol is that what they mean by "Rollin' deep in the the LBC" Dr D? All joking aside anyone who can make the mid ohio event should. Growing up in ohio and having been able to spend time on the track brings back many great memories. All OH V owners should jump at this opportunity. Id also like to thank the Cadillac crew who so kindly spoiled us at the Long Beach GP. Trust me guys youll be missing out on a great time if you pass this up. Enjoy and have fun....and get lots of good pics for the rest of us.

Finally signed up last night. Said there were still more spots left but it looks like sign up cuts off the 30th so only a week left to sign up.

Already bought general admission tickets before I found out about this, called to see if I could exchange/upgrade to the Corral tix. Guy on the phone had no clue what I was talking about. Anyone else try to do the same?

Planning on heading down from Chicago but I'm not sure I can pull off the whole weekend. What day(s) would you guys recommend if I could only do 1 or 2?

Re: Mid Ohio Grand Prix (Cadillac Corral)

Mid Ohio's website has a schedule of events. Friday is just practices and qualifying sessions. I didn't see a reason to take off work for that.

Saturday is a World Challenge race, the ALMS race, and other various lesser interest track activity.

Sunday is a World Challenge race, the Indy car race, and other various lesser interest track activity.

So, if one day, it is a matter of would you rather see ALMS or Indy (I'd choose ALMS personally). If two days, Saturday and Sunday are unquestionably the two to attend.

Cheap hotels can be found but you're looking at being about 40 miles away. There is nothing at all real close to the track though there even if you were booking early so 40 miles away really isn't that bad when the closest stuff is still probably 20 miles away anyway.

ELWOOD will be parked in the Midwest Marauder XLR Club Corral located in the center of the infield all three days. We will also have a covered viewing area through the trees and down the hill behind the vendors area.

Feel free to drop by and have a beer. I'll be splitting my time mostly between the Cadillac VIP Tent (eating) and the viewing area (drinking). Oh yeah there will be some great racing, too.

Now I just need to clean-up ELWOOD and get packed. See everyone on Friday nite!

Re: Mid Ohio Grand Prix (Cadillac Corral)

Had a great day here today! The best seat in the house. There were lots of people, EXCEPT in the Cadillac suite. Molly and I were up there I alone much of the time. I'm sure it's going to pick up tomorrow.

I could just look down and there was my car. Driving out we watched throngs of people schlepping their chairs and coolers a half mile out to their cars. We are so lucky.

    What. A Great Location!

    Best setup all year!

The Cadillac VIP pavilion is an elevated deck with covering. Great food, great view, and the even brought us. Track RADIOs so we can listen to the team.
