    Trunk lid won't open???????????

    2011 Blk CTS-V
    No Mods

After depressing the trunk botton on the key fob and even in the enterior drivers door the trunk latch won't release and open. I
hear the latch attempting to release but the trunk remains locked. Is there something that I'm missing here? I read the owners manual thinking that it might be a fuse issue. However, from my reading the fuse box for the rear of the V is in the trunk . I also attempted to do a search for prior post regarding this issue but was unable to find anything.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

Pull down arm rest in back seat. Reach up inside and feel for a T-shaped handle. Pull down. Trunk opens. You need to do this when the battery dies.

Thanks Malibu, I thought of that. Just pulled it 2 minutes ago and trunk opened without an issue. I then closed it back and now the fob and door release button works perfectly.

BLK VEE, I'm sorry to see you were experiencing this frustration over the weekend! Glad you and Club Malibu resolved the issue quickly, and I hope the transmitter and trunck continue to work perfectly from here forward.

There is also a key contained in the remote. Press the little black button at the bottom of the remote, remove the key and open the trunk. Same if you want to lock the glovebox.

There is a TSB if it continues.

Here is a thread from the "regular" CTS forum about trunk releases.
