    Request list: Generation 3 CTS-V (V3)

    Okay, I dont' know if this has been done before, but let's start a list of things we'd like to see on the next gen CTS-V. I'm pretty new, so I apologize if this has been discussed before. I have had my '12 CTS-V for about 2 weeks now and LOVE IT. However, I have noticed a few little things that could be upgraded on the next gen

    1. bluetooth audio (I love it in my wife's '12 Lexus RX350)
    2. turn signal indicators in the mirrors
    3. 7 or 8 speed dual-clutch transmission
    4. continue to refine interior materials and eliminate any squeaks, etc.
    5. HUD
    6. 5.5L direct injected supercharged V8 with 600hp and better fuel economy
    7. soft close automatic trunk lid
    8. performance traction management
    9. HID fog lights
    10. dual-mode exhaust (like on the Vettes) with a manual switch to keep the valves open when you want it loud and proud
    11. steering column mounted paddle shifters
    12. high-end stereo audio option (similiar to Lexicon, Levinson, B&O, etc. options in the German/Asian marques)

    Anything else to add?

    Make it lighter... under 3800 pounds would be ideal...
    TriTexan and TriTexan like this.

    Launch control
    Forged internals stock
    Catch can
    Better (e.g. - LED) DRL's - the current ones are embarrassing for a luxury sports car
    Non- crimped x-pipe

    Something to prevent passengers in the coupes from manhandling the door when they get out and go to shut it.

    Like most of the above (gun under stering wheel is a little cramped for us "thicker boys". I prefer mine mounted to side of console)

    1. Ditto on all of quickag's recs especially the the dual clutch auto with real paddle shifters but I disagree on the mirror mounted turn signals (one more thing I have to paint black);
    2. ZR1 Engine/at least 650 HP;
    3. State of the art entertainment/nav (CUE?) that is upgradable and in a standard double DIN install;
    4. Less chrome or, better yet, a chrome delete option;
    5. Stay away from "easy to scratch" interior pieces like the Black Obsidian;
    6. I agree with FLTRI about the "servo" door operating mechanism. Drives me nuts;
    7. 20" wheels (cheaper and more tires availability than the 19");
    8. Dump all the engine cladding and make the engine look good;
    9. Front camera for parking along with front parking assist (keep from trashing the front dam);

    I forgot, the option of good high performance run-flat tires for those of us that travel a lot and if CUE doesn't address it, the ability to show tire pressures for all 4 on the same screen. Pistol holster on the side of the console works, too, for us NRA members.

    Ontop of most the above which I agree with:

    -Adaptive Cruise or "super" Cruise if available by then
    -Rev limiter above 6200

    mine is so simple, a digital clock on the navigation screen. SO dumb they don't have one in the V2s.

    Also, doors that open the first time

    solid isolator bushing

    non squeeky, non scratched up interior pieces.

    Re: Request list: Generation 3 CTS-V (V3)

    - Less weight, please. It handles great for a 4400 lb car, but how much better would it handle if it weighed less?
    - Much better/more comprehensive iPhone integration (direct one touch access to Siri would be nice)
    - CUE
    - More power to keep up with the Joneses, a.k.a. the F10 M5.
    - Wider rear track to handle wider wheels and tires. We'll need it to handle added power and torque.
    - Line guides on the backup camera
    - Serious upgrade in quality control. Fix all the wheel clicking, sunroof squeaking, recaro rocking, rear diff issues, etc.
    - Push button start! So much cooler than a faux key column ignition.
    - Performance Traction Management
    - Rear diff cooler as standard

    I am trading this car in few months for BMW...What would make me buy another Cadillac? Swap this 6.2 for the zo6 7.0L maybe make it a 7.4L non supercharged.
