This is a small item that no one has mentioned, but it bugs me. How about backlighting the garage door openers? Driving in at night and fumbleing around

you'd need more than 50lbs to activate the airbag anyway, probably closer to 100 or more

Good call, I forgot about that. It is pretty annoying at night.

Gm has everything you mentioned at their disposal. Look at cost of a ZR1. Wholly crap. Look at all the other cars you can get for that kind of money. It's not going to make them money in the short term. They think short term. How long are the Top people going to be at GM? They could build the best cars in the world. So why don't they? Money, money, money. GM competes with itself. Too many brands, too many choices. BMW's all look alike. Mercedes all look alike. Porsche's all look alike. Audi's all look alike. They don't compete with themselves.

I know some of these are repeats from above, but if anyone is listening

Tighter interior (no squeaks/crackles in hot weather)
AWD (better than more power IMO)
    Improved fuel economy
    Dual-mode exhaust
Heavier steering setting (that doesn't require competitive mode)

...I'm sure better techno gadgetry is a given, though HD radio would be good...

...not sure about the laser beams, though...

Alcantara Headliner and posts to match remaining interior
illuminated transmission shift points next to shifter
    Bigger fuel tank
    fewer squeeks
    Differential cooler
Forged pistons or just make the ZR1 motor available
