    Somewhere to:
    1) place my wallet (I don't like sitting on it)
    2) somewhere to place my sunglasses when the sun goes down
Always astounds me that a car this big has no storage space

Side mirror(s) should be programmable to tilt downward when in reverse so you can see the curbs better - had this on my 2006 SRT8 and it was a nice feature. Seems simple to do and overlooked on a car of this calibre.
Club Malibu and Club Malibu like this.

I can tell you that's aprox how much the ATS-V will weigh. If we're lucky, the next CTS might shead 100lbs, or it'll stay about the same, except it'll be bigger.

It was removed for some reason. The V1s had that as well...

Why? Any BMW in this class, like the new M5, is going to have forced induction too. It's a twin turbo V8. So the supercharger can't possibly be the reason you're going to BMW. For more horsepower in the V, it would be really easy to just use the LS9 instead of the LSA, or even just use the LS9's larger blower.

But my wife would get real cranky , if I made her sit in the back seat.

Adequate storage has always been one of my minor irritants with V2, compared to my wife's Camry that has storage nooks & crannies everywhere. It was marginally better in the V1. Can't figure how GM came up with less on a larger car.

Glove box with removable shelf, two cup holders with door cover, little cubby with door under the A/C controls, center console with two separate areas, cargo net behind the seats (passengers side easily accessible from drivers seat) good sized door pocket...

Seems like enough storage to me. I won't even get into all the storage in a Vagon, including the hidden storage under the rear floor...

I had that issue when I was driving Corvettes, too. Back then I bought a leather s-shaped holder that protects the glasses and fits securely on my driver's side visor. It is probably more convenient than other cars' OEM holders.

Has a fold down rear seat been mentioned? Not having that was a mind blowing miss from Cadillac.

And how do you know that...? The ATS is less than 3400lbs - I doubt very highly that they added over 400 pounds to the V version...

If Cadillac doesn't put the next generation CTS-V on a diet, they will lose out to their competition... The new S6, which is priced in direct competition with the CTS-V, shed over 300 pounds... Jag started the aluminum body trend in the class, and all others will follow or they will just not be competitive...

Weight is the enemy and effects every single performance matrix, braking, handling, acceleration and not to mention, has mileage.... If Cadillac did nothing else but she'd 300-400 pounds to the CTS-V, it would yield the largest performance benefit...

and you're talking now about the difference between a N/A I4 and a Twinturbo V6.

It's not far fetched at all.
