Katie - might as well add me to the list. Ive been living with this blower rattle since 2009, and I'm still NOT used to it. It shouldn't be there in a vehicle of this caliber IMO.

2011 with 10k on the clock no rattles here. Maybe one will develop if I yank of the stock drive pulleys and overspin the blower to make more power.

I can understand changing the isolator, but what about the messed up shaft? Can that be replaced? Or doesn't that even matter?

+1. Has anyone with a solid isolator ever heard any "gear backlash?" I sure haven't...

Re: GM found a fix for the supercharger rattle!

Sorry guys, but i have torn apart a few zl1 engines and superchargers.. That issolator is not what is in the cad picture. Unless they change them in the latest batch that are sitting ready to be shipped, I do not think they fixed the noisy issolators. The are IDENTICAL to the ctsv ones on the blowers i torn apart. The only thing different is on the snout, they have 1 extra port right on the top of them.

    ----------

Also just noticed that they show the same "fix" in the original 2009 break down picture as well.. The one on ours is not pretty so that is probably why they have the other one in the pictures..

I started getting marbles at about 1K. At 12K now and it is no worse other than embarrassing

Re: GM found a fix for the supercharger rattle!

Katie, forgive the dumb question but what is the point of being added to this list? It seems that a large percentage of owners far beyond the standard deviation of allowable have the problem; what owners want to know, is whether GM plans to fix it. Going on 3+ model years into the CTS-V and it's not fixed, I'd assume the answer is no?
