Has anyone had their blower replaced under warranty recently and torn it down to see what they are shipping with? I guess I'm curious if they are building them all one way now that the ZL1 is out.

I just purchased a '12 CTS-V with a build date only a few months ago, and it was assembled w/the spring loaded isolator. I know because I replaced it.

my guess, NOTHING will be done! (or making a list to see who voids their warranty by changing the bushing!

So that is it. Nothing can be done? We can't even fix the problem ourselves (I would even pay GM to fix it) as long as my warranty is intact.

Not very happy about having to "live" with a diesel sounding $60k+ car.

This ridiculousness is akin to the V1's infamous rear diff, of which I had 6 or 7 replacements. Get it right, train your techs/service managers to handle the process, and issue a TSB to replace the isolator. It's not rocket science...

My diff was service twice before it was finally replaced. The list is BS. They aren't going to do anything. Just like they aren't going to do anything about the rocking, creaking seats either. TAC already has a bunch of "cases" open already for all our problems; s/c rattle, seats, wheel click, diff, sunroof, etc. Yet no resolution. WTG GM!

A class action lawsuit would force them to listen. Any attorneys here?

I don't think I've ever heard of a class action for a sometimes slightly annoying noise before.

Exactly and GM knows this. But if you car has an extensive repair history and either the diff/wheel click/seats/sunroof serviced a few times, you can try and file a lemon law claim.

Are you kidding me? Over a noise. Perhaps you guys all need a few more activities. Take a long look in the mirror and think to yourself - wow, the geeks really have won the world. What a bunch of whiney whimps - if it bugs you that much, just fix it, Sally. Can you turn a wrench or are your manicured fingers to good for that too?
