    CTS-V is still THE car

Everyone knows I am a V guy. So every time there is an article in the paper about it, it gets thrown on my desk. Probably 20 articles have been thrown on my desk over the last few years. The latest one, just this morning.

It occurred to me; how many 4-YEAR-OLD cars still get articles written about them? I bet not many. That says alot about how much influence the CTS-V has had on the automotive world.

My point wasn't the article, just the fact that they are still writing articles about this car almost 4 years after its debut.

Yes, yes it is THE car.

I was at a dealership today and all attention was on my three-year-old, freshly Zaino'd up V. Car nuts still ogle this car.

Well the M3 still has quite a few articles written about it, but that simply places the V in the M3's legendary company.

It does amaze me how people from young kids to seniors constantly stare at this car.

The new M3 articles I've seen were comparisons or about the new competition package. Not technically 'new' in the sense of reviewing a car as if it were a new offering like the article posted is in reference to.

    Isn't it!

I entered mine in a local show of about 500+ cars (only two Vs, mine & a coupe). I drove in late & everyone was staring at the car as I was passing them with the "I want one of those" look. Many were verbalizing it, amongst some of the finest vehicles around.

To be fair. I'll be impressed when people are ogling it when the F10 or 3rd gen CTS-V arrive. Even though it's 4 years old now, it's still basically the sports sedan to have. When it's not top-dog anymore, then we'll see.

sigh... I'm convinced I live in area that is in a time warp.
At the last car gathering I went to with the V, I was surprised to see a V coupe and a GTR. I parked next to them and stepped away and watched. None of the 3 vehicles got more than a casual glance.
Mustangs, Camaros and diesel trucks with lift kits... BIG. Gotta move out of the back country.

Thanks for saying "most". The V keeps this senior's heart pumping strong.
