True! I saw the M5 at the Detroit auto show. My God, what a beautiful car.

But you are right. I have discovered how CHEAP it is to get power out of good old American iron.

I agree with Richard Hammond of the British Top Gear. Too much emphasis on tuning suspension for Ring time bragging rights results in a car with the ride quality of a buck board.

Until it's out & available to test drive for everyone here, it's just hearsay... My neighbor loves the ride in his 911CS. "I think" it uses granite as it's suspension & seat cusions. So, if another says they like the F10, you won't know until you drive it. I did not like the E60 M5 at all (after driving it). I loved the look, but my 545i drove better (to me). It was more balanced. The M5 was harsh, loud, rough & the SMG shifted like crap, but you would have never known that from the reviews at the time...

The V2 however... The best "balanced" car I've driven yet.

Re: CTS-V is still THE car

It's great having a car that is uncommon and so under the radar for the average driver. I've only seen one one other "V" in my area: a black sedan like mine. Most people don't have a clue ... But more and more have seen the "V" commercials and now look favorably at Cadillac. I wonder how many of you wouldn't own a Cadillac but for the "V's"? I know I wouldn't.

The least wankish of the lot (though he did run a V2 off the road while trying to negotiate a straight line).

All I know is, I'll never forgive him for that.

I have done that once or twice. Straight lines are boring.

I just got back from a typical business trip for me: about 200 miles in daylight and darkness. The "V" interior is a pleasant place to be, and such a stable, confidence-inspiring car! Beautiful interior lighting and gauges at night. I caution new owners to be aware that you get very little sensation of speed; 65 and 100 feel the same. Watch your speedometer.

How many car can go back and forth to the track and still be an every day driver. I believe our resale value also went up that does not happen often

No, trust me, it's gone down. Just not as much as one would expect.
