Received Oil Analysis Kit from Blackstone Labs (Pics)

Received today my 6 pre-paid oil analysis containers, my siphon pump and dipstick tubing.

Each bottle has a postage paid stamp and a place for my return address.
I opened a bottle and found it neatly packed for a single sample

    Inside were:

-An inner bottle which screws to the pump and receives the oil being siphoned.
-A plastic bag to put the sample bottle in.
-A processing order which provides data to Blackstone, like date , miles, how much oil was added since last change, etc. etc.
    -Packing material

I will send a sample off Monday.

I was curious if any of the other posters who mentioned Blackstone to me has sent their sample in for analysis and how long it took to get the results.
I understand that now that I have a client number, results will be posted on their website in my client account area.

It's been about a year since I last sent in a sample. That was the third I've taken on my XLR-V. The turn around time is generally around 7 days after receipt so within 10 days to 2 weeks from sending it in, you should have results.

I've not received my kit yet. I ordered it about 10 days ago.

Instructions say that when bottle is "almost full" slightly unscrew bottle from pump to break the seal.

If I had to guess, I would say the bottle is around less than 100 ml

its not that much oil- i do them on the work trucks and the other vech. just to make sure everything is healthy.

I just take a sample when i change the oil... blackstone will tell you when you should be changing the oil and what issues/problems they find.

    cost is around $30
