    Xtreme Auto Service; Sterling Va. VentureShield / VentureTape

    It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. Here are pictures of my VentureShield installation courtesy of Sergio Cortez and Xtreme Auto Service out of Sterling Va.













    Poorly trimmed cuts of the film.
    Dirt under VentureShield film as shown in photos.
    Two sided tape used to reinstall hood trim piece damaged by installer.
    Razor cuts into paint on hood and quarter panels.

    A fine example of an installer that should be kept away from your vehicle.

    No I was not. And what is worse, I complained about the work to the installer and contacted VentureShield. They shipped out a new product replacement for the hood. However, instead of replacing, the installer chosed to remove the product from the hood leaving it unprotected. Of course, he neglected to inform me of that fact and it was done without my knowledge.

    WOW! I would be livid. Amazing that they thought that was a finished product that the customer would be satisfied with.

    My installation is Saturday. Now I'm scared. At least it's being done in my garage so I'll be there.

    I'd give them one chance to make it all right. If they fail, I'd have my lawyer file on them for the cost of repairs to your paint and trim, + a refund for the materials and labor the "installer" charged you for.

    that is just negligent. Can you dispute the payment on your credit card? Stop payment on the check? If you can;t, and if they don't give you satisfaction, start with ventureshield; see if they will work something out with another vendor.

    Meanwhile, complain to loudon county consumer protection.....then work your way up to the court system if necessary.

    A lawyer will unfortunately cost you many times more than what you stand to recover.

    I had my wife's CTS done along wih my V. The wife's car was done by another guy in the shop that I later found to be a true installer of the product who actually works on high end vehicles. Her car was done correctly and you could not even tell that the film is on the vehicle. I was not so lucky. I have given this indivudual many opportunities to correct this problem and even contacted VentureShield who was very involved in the initial stages but now the customer rep will not return my phone calls. Damages are documented along with affidavits from other installers who reviewed the work. I already started the complaint process but the wheels of justice always turn slowly when you need immediate action. I really hate to put this out there but I feel that others should be made aware of potential problems with this installer so that they may spared of the frustrations that I am experiencig now.

    is Detail Authority in Herndon a ventureshield dealer? if so, I wonder if you head over there maybe you can see if Randy over there can talk to ventureshield on your behalf?

    I think, though, that they might only deal in 3M and Clearshield.

    I have tried to work with Ventureshield but their position is that the issue is between myself and the installer. I am now working with the court system. I previously did not have the time to fully devote to this and was giving the owner/installer an opportunity to make things right. But it would seem that he does not care to nor thinks that nothing will come of my complaint. This attitude is a serious underestimation of my resolve for I have cleared my schedule to make this issue my number one mission. It is now a matter of principal and I can not allow this individual and business to move on scott-free with my money.
