Yep, the check stand pipe hole is towards the back of the pan and the fill is toward to front on the right side of the transmission about half way up.

+1 The overflow/check is the bolt in the back of the pan. The fill is tough to find but above the pan on the front pass side.

    This is how I fill......on a lift

After draining and filter change, with fill bolt removed, pump fluid in until it overflows the check bolt hole. Start car and get trans temp up to 130-ish. I do this while leaving the check bolt and fill plug removed. Make sure you cycle through the gears while it is warming up. The with it running in park, proceed to burn the shit out of the back of your hand on the headers while filling the pan until it flows out the check bolt hole. Put the check bolt in and put the fill plug in and done.

    Total PITA!!!!

My 94 BMW 740 il was like the above. You had to start the car and use a temp proble to determine the exact temp. When filling you had to add fluid while running the car and checking the temp of the fluid and running it through the gears. Think they shoud put back the dip sticks for the tranny and oil for those of us smart enough to use them, while maintaining the sensors for those that don't have a clue.

My friend has a jaguar and the engine is totally sealed. You can not check the oil or tranny fluid. There are no dipsticks.
