Would you ever consider "debadging" your V?

I've wanted to own a car like this for a long time, and now that I'm finally in a position for it to be practical, the world goes and changes on me. Eco-terrorism/vandalism is not unheard of here in L.A. and elsewhere, and it usually happens in the most chicken-$h!t kind of way: when the car is left unattended in a public place, where there is almost no chance to catch the perps and do a smoky burnout over them

Of course, removing the "V" badges would still leave a lot of clues that would be obvious to anyone here and others that know a thing or two about cars, but it occurs to me that eco-terrorists/vandals aren't the sharpest tools in the shed (the local news reported a few years ago that an act of torching a bunch of SUVs on a dealer lot emitted more climate-changing pollution than the SUVs would have over their entire collective lifetimes).

Anyone else ever ponder/consider this? Just how much does that badge really mean? Just idle thoughts while waiting for the MSRP and official EPA mileage to be announced...

I left the V badge and removed the CTS badge on my V1. Looks much classier! Less is more. I plan to do the same on the V2.

I plan on removing all badges except the sole "V" logo on the back of the car. That's what I did to my SS and the looks when you smoke some kid in his rice mobile or Stang GT are priceless. Then, as you're in front, the get in the know and figure things out.

Will people be putting ZR1 badges on the car, like the Zo6 badges on the V1

I have a V1 that is debadged. I did it becuase the only people that seem to know about the car are 16 year old's with srt neons. It got unbelievably old having those guys pester me when I'm, rolling with the familly.

My car still get's lots of looks because of the sound.

    Here's a pic:

I've got the litle z06 inspired LS6 emblem on the back, for those that know.

OMG! This must be a stock photo. I happen to know that the real chris NEVER cleans his car. A car so dirty, that at VIR, painter's tape numbers wouldn't stick to it.

LOL, it gets washed once a year if it needs it or not.

Sounds real nice! Nothing like the sound of a radical V8. Did you lighten the flywheel?

How in the world do you pass your smog check? Still running cats at all? Do they clean it up enough (by glowing red hot at idle)? Or...do you have some other, um, arrangement?

I haven't done the flywheel yet. I'm waiting to do that when my clutch goes, and do it all at once.

I live a real state, where men are men, and smog check is done only by the OBDII port. No CEL, no codes = pass smog. I am very glad that I don't like in some socialist state like CA.

I actually do still have my cat's, as I don't like that funk-nasty no-cat smell.
