    13/14mpg combined would be sufficient.

Seems logical to expect MPG similar to a Maggied V1 which should be acceptable to most owners - 14 city / 23-24 highway? <<< CAGS rocks!

Ok, it doesn't. GM, don't charge me again for gas guzzler tax and still put CAGS on the V.

Not the same, but interesting. The SRT-8 is advertised at 14 city / 20 hwy. I regularly get 22 to 23 mpg on the hwy. The city, unfortunately is about right.

Anyone seriously considering this car shouldn't care.

If it's a 2nd or 3rd car I would agree. If it's going to be the daily driver then factoring the cost of gas should be a consideration just like every other cost of ownership and it's effect on your budget. Unless you're simply wealthy and the costs of things do not matter to you. But for me that's not the case.

Where's the guy from the 04-07 forum who claimed that a Maggie increased fuel economy? Using his logic, the 09 should get 21/30.

Whatever V2 comes in at, its EPA fuel economy numbers should be better than a M5 <<< gas pig.

If you're not first, you're last.

    11/16

The V also has no where near the aerodynamics that the Vette has.

    14/20 for the SRT-8 is the pre-2008 EPA. It's only 13/18 for 2008 from what I recall.

I don't care about the price of gas, but I do care about how often I have to fill up. If it's gonna get 10 MPG then I'll be filling up every couple days whereas 20 MPG can get me through the work week. And it would be pretty annoying filling up every 200 miles on long trips.
