Sticker price isn't out yet let alone depreciation schedules.

Why rent a beautiful car like a V2?

,wow to that...that would be double the payment of my 05 ctsv, and 200 more than my 07stsv...hope its not that high, or might have to purchase..

Just estimating, but I can't imagine it'd be any less. My business partner has a 2 yr lease on a $70,000 msrp LS460 for his wife. The payment is $975/mth.

As soon as you drive it off the lot your losing a good 15-20k. Factor in depreciation over 2 years and it is just not worth buying expensive cars.

That is 15-20 1,000 dollar car payments. Most people after 2 years are not in the green.

Simple 2 year lease and get something new.

BTW I leased a STS-V that came out to 70k with nothing down and my payments are 1,000.

    Re: any lease pricing yet?????anyone??anyone???

My guess is $875-$950/month max for 24-27 months, 12k miles, tax up front, no cap reduction.

This guess based on an 07 XLR-V lease, capped at approx. $90k.

    27 months
    12k miles
    $4k total out of pocket
    $1,086/month.

This is of course unless the CTS-V has a bad residual and very high buy rate. I'm sure it will have standard rates, but hopefully the residual will be descent to good.

Rule #439 - Never make payments (purchase or lease) on a depreciating asset. Pay cash.

Actually, that's not the rule when it comes to Accounting.

You lease what goes down in value, buy what goes up.

Paying cash is fine for those who have s*it credit or just has excess $ laying around to do so.

And if you want to go even deeper when it comes to fiscal sense, you generally shouldn't be buying a new car period. Or have kids for that matter, but that doesn't seem to stop people.

Just talked to a dealer, lease price is $899 with zero down. Tax and tags inculded. He quoted me that price without even knowing sticker or cost. Pretty cool, huh.

This is right. You lease, especially if you get a low money factor and can reinvest the cash at a higher rate. You don't care about depreciation if the payments are lower than financing, that's the dealer's problem.
