    More LSA info

The LSA does use hypereutectic 9.1:1 pistons. Boost will be 9 lbs. The intercooler is more efficient than the one on the ZR1. Boring and honing will be done with deckplates.

Nice write up, I really think that the final HP numbers will be higher than 550, more like 570 or 580, Caddy just doesn't want to put BMW and Mercedes on notice 9 months before official sales date. There is no reason not to let the V have a HP number close to the ZR1 because of the very large weight difference between the two, the V is no threat to the ZR1, even if it had a bit more HP.

The only reason not to add more hp is because the motor is running hyper-pathetic pistons, and more hp = less reliability overall = more costs to GM

No one said they were hypers yet. Do you know your pistons? Is has been stated they are cast. Does not mean "hyper" cast or pathetic as you put it. Difference in silicate qty.
So they could just add forged instead of dropping HP if it were an issue to achieving their overall performance goal.

GM has stated that the LSA is using hyper-eutectic cast aluminum pistons.
