$68,500 unless they a la carte some of the features. Upcharge for automatics and sunroofs. Don't think they can offer it in the low 60's with all the bells/whistles. The SRT-8's have oil squirters too. I hope we can't here the caddy's. You can hear it on the SRT-8's. Oh and by the way, I'm definitely coming back.

The only thing standing in my way might be the price.

If it hasn't been posted, the diff is cast iron.

Hot damn, if the diff holds up it looks to me like they got everything right this time. Make mine black, powder coat the chrome, and I'm all set. Manual or paddles, TBD.

Maybe a front dam kit in the future (D3?) to correct the underbite look, but it's hard to tell from pictures whether that's a real need. I'll see for myself in Detroit.

It's compelling enough that it'll be hard to execute my strategic plan (wait a year, let early buyers find all the bugs).

Exactly. I would have rather seen them build a $55k version with the Corvette's 436 hp LS3 engine (I have one - it's strong!). I'm guessing this car will be 80k plus.

Bah. People who won't/can't pay what they ask for this car should stick to the base CTS, or maybe an SRT8 Charger.

Ouch. Autoweek is predicting $62K, but I just don't see how GM can bring it in at that price with all this technology. The 1/4 mile calculator predicts 12.2 seconds off the showroom floor. Not that anyone here cares about drag racing.

I doubt it. GM is big on value compared to its competition. For 80k you could just buy an M5. And most people (other than extremely loyal GM guys)would do just that regardless of the extra 50 hp you get with this car. Don't get me wrong, this new V has brought me to this forum but there is no way it will be 80k. I'm starting to agree with the guys guessing that it will be high 60's to low 70's though.

Well, that's a bummer. Guess I'm going to have to upgrade... Maybe I'll finally let the wife drive it.

If that car doesn't run damned near or under 4 seconds to 60 flat I'd be shocked as shit. Interior is simply gorgeous. Outside has that "I eat small children" look. I was think maybe a c63 for my next car, but they have sold me! Total package if I ever saw one.

I'm very pissed that this is coming with cast pistons; that means the motor is going to be a ticking timebomb IMO, and modding is going to be a very risky proposition. The extra weight not only means a slower car, but more shit breaking in the long run.

I LOVE THE INTERIOR. If this thing is priced under $70K I'm buying one. Period.

While there is no doubt 4200 lbs is heavy, someone posted that the M5 and E63 are lighter, weighing in at little more than 4000 lbs. That is quite wrong, the C63 weighs 4035 lbs, as reported by Car and Driver, both the E and M5 are substantially larger and heavier so weight should be equal to the new V.
Love the car, but want to see how this thing launches and actual performances figures before running to the dealer. That said it's awesome looking inside especially, Recaro Seats rock, had them on my Audi S4. Seems most issues have been dealt with, now if they could just improve the dealerships.

Well, I wasn't sold on the looks of it at the beginning, but GM sure finished it off well. Audi, BMW, and MB have to be pissing their pants now. As long as it's under $70k, I think this car will be a huge hit for Cadillac.

L5, I hear you on the strategery. Gonna be very hard not to be an early adopter this time around.
