    Exclamation Exhaust tips chipping/flaking

    I bought black high temp powder coated tips after going 150 MPH one of the tips paint started to flak off. I sanded down bought tips,painted with vht headers black paint
    And again after I went 170 MPH both tips are chipping....
    Is there any paint that will last?

    the inside or the outside? and I told you to buy high heat bbq grill paint. if the insides are turning white it's to be expected. you don't have mufflers and
    you're going to get some flames when high rev decal popping occurs. my tips are holding up very well, no issues with the outside, and the carbon burn-off(turning white) on the inside doesn't phase me in the least. if you sanded down the tips you may have caused more issues for yourself. the powder coating is electroplated and once you compromise the surface (sanding) you're only going to be fighting a down hill battle. the outer surface of my tips are as new. post a picture or two so I can see what you are experiencing.

    mine after 2 yrs. like new. note: I do not drive in winter salt/snow.

    Its cause of the high speeds.
    How do I post pics it won't let me from my phone.
    The outside are doing well, inside is all nasty and stuff...
