    Interior reupholster thoughts

Starting with a 2013 CTS-V Coupe, Black Raven, all black interior with Red Brembo's considering changing the interior to mimic the Coupe concept Cadillac was showing back in 2011, except in Red (not too loud) instead of Saffron and replacing the suede with micro perforated leather.

This is what it originally looked like back in 2011

Playing around with the image to drive a little more red

The only other thing I'm considering is doing the steering wheel in all leather, either all black or just a spot of red. That spot would be where you see the suede on the steering wheel in the picture (upper third). The stitching would be the same color as it is today for continuity. Would also consider swapping out the Midnight Sapele trim for something else. Either working a trade for the brushed aluminum or wrapping is in carbon fiber.

    Thoughts?

    Re: Interior reupholster thoughts

First thought, don't do anything that might effect the air bags. I actually though the same thing, the concept wheel and seats are very nice, but it wouldn't want to cover you and stick over an area I know bags deploy from. I'd be less concerned about the seats, but I has a guy refuse to work on my racaro sests when I was thinking about a headliner.

The thought is a good one. Implementing might be a pita.

Both dealers in the area have no issue with it, in fact one of them did a totally red interior for a V sedan they sold. As for the steering wheel, just talking about replacing the suede with leather.

The red looks great! Go for that and keep the sapele. It looks classier than cf IMO.

I would go with the Ox Blood red leather that you can get on the new ATS. Looks really nice, but no way you could ever get a Recaro covered in it.
