    LED H11's or HID's

Has anyone looked into using the new LED's that are actual full replacements for headlights/foglights? I'm not talking about LED's just to be used for the color or as an accent light. The technology has now come to where LED's are actually being manufactured now that can replace an existing Halogen headlight bulb with a high output CREE LED. Check these out for the H11 equivalent for our fog lights.

Led aftermarket for headlights are a gimmick. Poor light output worse than halogens.

    Re: LED H11's or HID's

What he said. Reflectors/projectors have to be designed with an LED light source in mind. There are good replacement LED headlight assemblies for some vehicles out there (like the 5 3/4" round lights on a Jeep), but they're not THAT much better than good halogens and are quite pricey. Just replacing a halogen or HID bulb with LED is never a good idea if you want to retain proper functionality
