Wagon Tail Lights - Is this Gap normal?

I noticed yesterday while washing my wagon that the top uppermost point of the tail lights has some flexibility to it. There is about a 1/4" gap between the inner housing of the tailight and the body of the car. If I push it down it will sit flush with the cars metal but once I let go it pops up again. Is this normal? I've attached a factory pic with the part in question circled.

No. The taillights on my '14 Vagon are flush with the body their entire length.

Can you send me a pic when you get a chance. A side shot of where the chrome roof rail runs into the top of the tail light would be great.

I've heard this come up with Vagon owners before. Some were seeing that exact same thing. You may not be alone.

Apparently this is a flaw that some people have or develop. Cadillac will replace your tail light.

One of my taillights did this. It's due to the little plastic hook clip at the top breaking. This is where the taillight connects to the opening in the roof rail.

My local dealer replaced mine under warranty.

    Good luck.
