    Drag Radials and Wheels...

Has anyone used these Rims for the back for drag radials? Was thinking about buying a set and slapping on a pair of drag radials. they are inexpensive and look nice and clean. wonder how heavy.... you think I can squeeze a 10" tire on it or just 8 inch? Whats the setup people are running c5Z06 rims?

Not sure why you want to buy the 18" rims when they already make a drag radial for your stock rims. Try Mickey T. Cecil.................

Because using a 18 inch rim allows you to run a much thicker side wall to absorb impact at launch and lower down driveline shock while still maintaining the same or similar Overal Diameter. I ran a 10.6 @136 running MT 335/35/18 on my C6Z06. I know about driveline shock it aint pretty. Just need to get a similar setup for my CTS V .

These rims seem very inexpensive except only 8.5 inch wide. Not sure if thats gonna be enough tire contact to hook this baby!

The link you posted says they don't fit the cts-v. Maybe they are only talking about the front, but want to double check before you buy. I'm running M/T 305/35/18 on a 10x10.5 inch C5 ZO6 wheel. An 8.5 rim might be a stretch. Literally.

Ya that's what's weird. Says it fits on top but then says it doesn't fit if you call. 8.5 inches is small too. Guess I'll scratch them off my list

Are u running c5z06 or c6z06 front rims? The c5z06 front rims were 17 inch from the factory. I used to run them on the back of my c6z06 worked well. Where did u get them ? Any pics? Thanks man

    I and many others run C6 Z06 fronts, 18x9.5, with the 305/35/18 MT's.

C5 Z06 wheels don't standout if you color match.

Do they fit though without spacers or modifications? i want bolt on and done. Sounds like C6Z06 repros with some MT's are gonna be the best way to go. Damn there goes another $1000 lol. Wish I could find a used set .

Sorry, but I tried to upload photo's of my set up with no luck. My C5 Z06 wheels are 18x10.5, but they require a 5mm spacer. Where are you located? I am thinking about unloading my current drag set up. I just upgraded to aftermarket wheels and I am planning on turning my stock set into a dedicated track set up. I want to start doing track days and don't see myself doing quarter mile too much.

You need to run spacers, but I leave the spacers on full time as it gives the stock wheels a more aggressive look.
