Little Help Here! Plasti Dip fog Light Housing and chrome Trim Ring?

Heading says it all. I want to blacken out the Fog Light housing and fog light trim ring but am not sure the best route to take. Does the Fog Light Chrome Trim Rings come off (unscrew or something), or do most folks just spray the entire housing, fog light and trim rings all together. If so, do you tape off areas, or spray the entire housing and peel off the fog light lamp area. Also, doesn't the Plasti Dip fill in the little pin hole air vents in the housing?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I would like to do it correctly the first time. Thanks

I just taped mine off sprayed the entire housing. Just make sure to leave about 1/2" exposed around the housing so you can grab it and get a good split. Also, spray it on nice and thick. It makes it easier to take off if you decide to. Hope this helps!
