    Anyone wrinkle paint their valvecovers?

I've always wanted to try out that wrinkle finish paint, and the LSA is boring looking enough to finnaly bring this project out to fruition. Bought a can of VHT wrinkle today. Thinking that black VC's under the coils is either going to look clean and crisp with the other Black colors (the catch cans and trim for example)

or it's going to make them look invisible...

Here's what the paint looks like (lay off the vtech comments please. >_> )

I think it could only look good with a TYPE R sticker stenciled across the top of the valve cover. Now that I
have that out of my system no more ricer jokes!

I did try to find some LS VC's painted, but our engines don't exactly have a purrdy mouf. People don't paint them that often, and even less often with this wrinkle stuff.

With the coils on top of the VC, I am not sure how visible black wrinkle will be. What happened to the good old days of moroso and edelbrock tall valve covers and a 15 in round chrome open element air cleaner..........

I thought that too.. but F-it. It'll be there and anyone that likes details will be able to appreciate it.

Think I should change the VCG's?

Re: Anyone wrinkle paint their valvecovers?

We have played around with a few different finishes. Not sure how much viability you will get. But this should give you a decent idea. Granted the OEM blower might show a little more....

We have done several other colors as well.

    Thanks,
