I have my eye on one of the challenge cars as his calipers are getting ready to change color. I think his bananas are going to brown shortly.

LyndellWiggins - From a design standpoint, have you looked at possibly going with a glass black caliper? It might offer a good deal of contrast to the matte finish that you are talking about doing with everything else. The tone on tone (if done tastefully) can be very rewarding as it shows the attention to detail. The copper finish is also becoming more popular. The natural hues and tones are starting to make a design impact.

Good luck with your decision. Looking forward to seeing the finish product.

    Thanks,

Have you tried removing it from the grille? I mean there are just so many little holes and angles.
Bro I probably have to most experience with that and let metal you it's a PAIN IN THE ASS to remove !! I did it on my grill and my moms range rover and I had to rent a pressure wash because the angles are crazy.. I say you get the d3 grille lol I am never gonna use plasti dip on mine again lol

That's what I was thinking. I mean I know Plasti dip comes off smooth solid surfaces easily but taking it off the grille just sounds like a headache. I mean if the dip ever got messed up I would have to re-do it and I just would rather have a real black grille (D3). Thanks for the input.

removing it by hand will take you at least 3-5 hours to remove(no exaggeration because I started to remove it by hand). you NEED a pressure washer. It'll get done in 20-30 minutes instead.

I was afraid to use my washer on the grille initially, but then realized it's not chromed plastic it's colored plastic. You can't harm it unless you're going fine-tip @ 2000+PSI. Which you won't need to.

Captain: If I had a white car I'd love the white calipers with black rims. Heck it probably would look great on my car as well. I probably need to add that to the list. And for the decals, do you sell them or what? Thanks.

Thanks Captain. I've been checking out the Plasti Dip forums and I like what you've done with your Caddy. I may try the Matte Black Plasti Dip to see how the car looks before going either vinyl or paint. Heck, I may just keep it Plasti Dipped if it looks good enough! But I know black has a lot of range and may not look as good as your custom blue.
