Hey guys, had the wheels and the drop on the car for sometime now, never had a chance to share with you guys.
Running 21" DPE SP5, 21x9 fronts 21x11 rears wrapped in Toyo T1R 255/30/21 and 295/25/21, lowered on KW V3. Blacked out trims, Lambo orange brakes with Brembo stickers.
I took it for alignment, but they could not really do much, do I need a camber kit, or try another shop? So currently running a negative camber in the front, almost 2degrees, very little in the rear. Currently I am playing around with colors on the brakes and center caps seeing what I like.
I personally feel a black brake and black center cap would look great with the black grill/vent look you have going.
Unless, you were wanting to keep the more unique color scheme going with the brakes/caps
The car looks great with those rims and lowered
No way! I want mine that low sooooo bad! My last V had a terrible suspension noise though, I tried to buy coil overs at least a dozen times and could NEVER get a strait answer if they would make noise when slammed like this. If I can get a car this low without making noise I'm all over whatever coil overs he is on!!!
I'm into American trucks (Ford, Chevy, Jeep) and some people don't see the point in lifts. I like functional lifts for wheeling; better clearance on trails.
As for lowering; not a fan of low riders my self, but I'm not one to bag on anybody for spending their own money how they see fit. However, I am genuinely interested if lowering does anything good for performance? Is it purely for show or is there functional benefit?
I still have a great amount of shock travel for street use, my girl drives this car sometimes, and she has no problems at all, the 21" wheels kill the gap between the wheels and the car making it look lower then it really is, I have a lot more room on the KWs to go lower. Daily driver for me, I live in Los Angeles, no problems at all.
Cool, thanks for the info. Do you know if when the KW V3's were installed if a spring compressor was needed to remove the old springs to reuse the factory hardware?
I don't think anyone makes camber kits for the V?
Can the front take a spacer?
IMO love the orange do the wheel centers in gloss black, super mean look.
I will do suspension when someone makes an edfc type module to adjust dampening from iPhone or ashtray mounted device.
One of the few low offset slammed Vs I've seen so far!
"big Jim why"
Because it's his ride, just because you think it's low, he might think it's perfect.
Your ride looks sweet brother, now I wouldn't lower mine that low because I love the big girls, after dinner that baby would scrape every man hole cover and pot hole! My girls are thick
LOL, that's the same reason I haven't lowered mine yet!
