On my G8 I got probably 1/2" or so more clearance on each side. You just need to take your time and keep heat on the paint. You have to roll a little at a time and not get impatient, otherwise you risk cracking the paint.

Dont Roll!!! Itll just crack the paint and **** up the fender. I used an angle grinder with a sandpaper flapper disc. Took about 1/2" off my GTO rear fenders to fit the wider tires.
    Very clean look too!

You can do it without cracking the paint, I've done it. You just have to be very patient. Cutting it is another option, but lots of people have a hard time making that first cut....

I would only be using a professional rolling tool. A local shop my brother uses have one. Thats the only way to get a 100% clean roll is when it attaches to the hub and you just heat n' roll
