    Smile 20x13 rear wheels

    Hi all,

What mods do I have to go through to fit a 20x13" wheels and 345/30R20 tires in the rear section of my CTS-V coupe?

The CTS-V has 12.7" free space for a wheel, but with the setup above, it will take about 13.5".

P.S its ok if they stick out. I like em like that.

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: 20x13 rear wheels

That tire is way too big to fit IMO. More than an inch larger than stock and the width won't be possible to tuck into the fender without a widebody kit. And good luck getting a response from D3 on their widebody kits (I've sent several emails over the past few months that have apparently been lost in the wormhole).

A setup I have considered trying (when I get my V eventually) is a 19x12 rear wheel with a Nitto NT05 335-30-19. I think this would be as wide as you could tuck into the factory coupe wheels wells. I obviously don't have experience with this setup yet, but intend to be the guinea pig for it. I'm sure some "minor" mods are going to be necessary to omit any rubbing (pinning/cutting of fender liner, minor grinding of metal, etc). But I plan on making it happen. And by the way, this 335-30-19 is about the same diameter as stock and has a matching front tire that is 275-35-19 that will fit perfectly on a 19x9.5 rear sedan wheel... Perfect candidates for stock sedan wheel widening: throw the rear sedan 9.5" rim to the front and have the stock front 9" rim widened to 12" for the rear. Then just powdercoat the wheels to your liking, add the correct spacers, and you're good to go!

Eww no XD those rims are wider than the tires so they would take this shape. Germans like em. But no, that's not what i want.

If I fit the 20x13 + 345 wide tires it would stick out about 0.8 inches which is not that bad.

Anyways, How do the guys tuck really wide drag wheels into a car with no wide body??

Still if not possible, where can I get fender flares?

The way they do this is called tubbing. Cutting your existing rear fender wells out and replacing them with fabricated aluminum wells to accommodate the larger tires. But with the CTS-V, you may have to make other adjustments with the control arms. Just according to how wide you wanna go.

But I think with a 20x13 and a 345 tire you would be alright just tubbing it.

Yeah keep us posted and if you don't mind with prices and who did the work. I would probably be interested in doing the same. I would love to stick a 345 under the rear of my CTS-V!

    Hello,

Where are you located at? Mini tub is the only answer if you arent going to go widebody. Look at our Le Monstre Coupe we built. It has a 345 tire on it.

    Thank you,
