I did an HID conversion. Took all of 5 minutes. Plug and play. I did have the LED's but they didn't give any light at all.

Got them off of ebay. The color is 8000k. Very easy install. Type in cts-v hid's. Can't remember what size the fogs are, but google search will give quick result. Think they are h11s.

just ordered ddm HID 35s h10s 8000k kit for the fogs and HID d1s 8000k for the low beams. Doing the drl delete and led turn signals. Will also be doing the diy clear fogs and already ordered the clear side markers. I'll post some before and afters pics within a few days.

Re: questions regarding converting DRL lights to HID or LED

I have seen many people go HID for fogs. But since DRL light require bumper removal not many people have done it. I have a thread about the bulb type and options, because I wanted to do the same thing.
I just turn them off once I get in the car, other people pull the fuse and never have to worry about it.

For what it's worth, I just replaced my factory fog lights on my ZO6 with HID's and the matching kelvin was 4300k, to match the low beam headlamps. The ZO6 low beams look just like my CTS-V low beams. So I'm guessing 4300k is the match.
