How to remove your door panels / interior trim peices.....

Hey mods, you might want to make this into a sticky....

This is a detailed and documented 'how to' on removing your fake carbon / sapele wood trim. And how to remove your door panels to get access to them.

This should save you guys a good $150-$200 at the dealer having them do it.

Yep. I've done a walk through image tutorial once before on a forum so I keep it nice and simple. An image is worth a thousand words. And since I was putting on my carbon trim I'd figure i'd take a few minutes to make a noteworthy contribution to the members

Those trim tools are worth 10x their weight in gold. I am almost at the point of having to buy new ones because they are so handy and have been used so much.

Since we have new sub categories for the V we should also have stickies in each sub category. That would be a big help to alot

hey razor if u don't mind i have a few ?'s…..first where to get the trim removing tools?….second…...i'm also sending matt, my trim so he can put the CF on all my trim, but by your write up, do you mean that in order to remove the fake cf trim on the doors, the whole door has to be disassembled? and also i noticed u wrote something about not closing all the doors, but if i remove all the fake CF how do i keep the car closed while the trim is getting done

I got the trim tools off of ebay for like $14.00. Yep, you have to pull off the door panels to get to the nuts on the inside that hold the trim down. What I mean about the door closing is if you disconnect the door cards from the doors and accidentally shut all the doors afterwards you'll be screwed because you disconnect the locking mechanism when you pull the door cards. You would be locking yourself out of your own car if you had all your windows rolled up.
